2s GENS ACE 520mah works delicious, drone has good punch but still BOLT battery is mouch powerful to go due to Super high discharge rate 65-130C.

3s GENS ACE 520mah has really great punch BUT is way too heavy. 44grams is too much for small drones so most of extra energy is used to hover and just a bit for a bit more noticable fun. So best choice will be 3s 300mah and at least 45/90c but good luck to find it.... If you still want more power today then buy BOLD batteries from turnigy with Unholy C rating 65-130.

How to safety discharge batteries

The batteries make our life more convenient, as the electric power, we should use them safety. Last week, we talk about how to charge lipo battery, from the article you have learned charge lipo battery is not easy thing, we should take more carefully. Today, we will give you some advises about how to discharge batteries.

1. Don't discharge Batteries at amperage rates higher than specified on Batteries' labels.

2. Don't allow the temperature of Batteries to exceed 140°F during discharge. Adequate cooling for Batteries is required, especially when discharging at or near maximum rates.

3. Don't discharge Batteries to voltage below which they are rated by the manufacturer when measured under load (connected to the vehicle or a charger capable of discharge). Batteries discharged to a voltage lower than the lowest approved voltage may be damaged, resulting in loss of performance and potential fire when Batteries are charged.

4. Don't discharge battery to a level below 3V per cell under load.

For Tattu series batteries which are used for Unmanned Aircraft System, The recommended cut off voltage is 3.5V per cell.

5.Don't leave battery unattended during the discharging process. During the discharging process, user should monitor the process constantly and react to potential problem that may occur.

6. In case of emergency, discontinue the process immediately, disconnect the battery, place it in a safe area, and observe it for approximately one hour. This may cause the battery to leak and the reaction with air may cause the chemicals to ignite, resulting in a fire. A safe area should be outside of any building or vehicle and away from any combustible materials. A battery can still ignite even after one hour.

7. User need to check the conditions of the battery before use it or discharge it. Stop using it if user found the cells are not balanced or cells are puffing or weeping.

And finally, don't over discharge the battery, over discharge the battery maybe let the battery damage or fire, so please take more carefully to discharge batteries

1. ESC types

#1 Brushed and brushless

For base on motor, which can be divided into brushed and brushless. It according to the control signal to adjust the speed of the motor.

For their connection, usually goes like this:
- The ESC input line connected to the battery;
- The output of the ESC line (brushed have two lines, brushless have three lines) connected to the motor;
- ESC signal lines connected to the receiver.

What's the difference between brushed and brushless ESC?

Brushed Motor and Brushless Motor is like Hub and Switch in Computer Network. Brushed Motor is just a normal motor where it work by direct current/voltage (We only focusing in DC area. NO AC Motor)

#2 Blheli, simonk and kiss firmware

ESC program is divided into open source and not open source, For base on open source firmware, there are 3 main types of firmware that you can get on your ESC, which can be divided into blheli, simonk and kiss firmware.

#3 BEC and UBEC

BEC stands for Battery Elimination Circuit. In practice, this simply means that ESCs with a BEC are able to output a constant voltage and so power the equipment on board your flying platform, such as your receiver, servos or flight controller. Delivers power for your Rx and servos at ~5v (but usually no more than 2A-3A).

UBEC stands for universal BEC or sometimes ultimate BEC, which is typically a switch mode unit which is capable of reducing the voltage from 4s+ packs to the required ~5v, and can deliver as much as 10A to power many, big, digital servos and your Rx.

2. What type of ESC do quadcopters use?

BLHeli is the most common firmware being run on multirotor ESCs today. It's popularity is pushed further by support for what is called "BLHeli passthrough" built into any CleanFlight based flight controllers. What this allows you to do is to program and update all of your multirotors ESCs from the computer connection to the flight controller.

For BEC or UBEC, you really need to make sure which one you have or are buying if your goal is to have the better switching mode instead of the more problematic linear mode type BEC. Like a lot of things in RC, you have to study the words and numbers a little (types, input voltages, output voltages, ratings, etc.) to make sure you get what you need.

Brushless motors are typically 85 - 90% efficient or more, higher efficiencies for a brushless electric motor, of up to 96.5%, whereas DC motors with brushgear are typically 75 - 80% efficient. Brushless DC motors are commonly used where precise speed control is necessary. So base on the brushless motors, you should have to choose the matching ESC, which also is brushless ESC.

Checkig Sag & Overall Performance-I Fly Them around 13-15 cycles each last week. during heat i droped cells to 2.9-3.0v.After 1hr when i Reached Home I Charged Them I was Surprised To see no puff . They are True 1550MAh.This means that the 1550mAh genuinely gives you around 1550mAh if you leave around 20% in the pack as you should.They are Cold when They Land.

Internal Resistance-Comparing Them to Other Lipos They Are Very Minimal IR. I got 2-3ohms in Each cell in R-LINE & Got 3-6ohms per cell In Bonka. The Same Charger Was Used to ensure the results were kept fair.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

They are a little heavy Compared to 1500mah Lipos (of course Coz its 1550mah), but provide solid and constant power throughout the pack but the fact the power is still there after 30 seconds Of Serious PunchOuts Thats Why it doesn't matter. Because of the extra capacity I was expecting them to perform not so good, but I am amazed to say I think they performed better. I had pulled on them in my 2:30 to 3 minute flights.From My First Cycle To Last Cycle They performed same which is incredible.. Now i know the Hype. I Will Definatly Use them In Race..

Recharge

Discharge

1.Discharge current

Discharge current should not exceed the maximum discharge current specified by the battery. (Formula is "the number of milliampere divided by a thousand and then times the number C" equals the maximum discharge current).

2.Discharge temperature

The battery must be discharged at the range of temperature specified by specification. When the surface temperature exceeds 60 degrees, should stop using, until the battery cool down to the room temperature.

3.Over discharge

Over discharge can cause fatal effect on the battery, so it is best not to make monomer battery voltage lower than 3.7 volts.

Battery storage

Battery should be stored in a cool environment. When you store battery for a long time (more than three months), suggest you put battery in the temperature of 10 to 25 degrees and low temperature, non-corrosive gas. The process of long-term storage, charging and discharging once every three months to keep the battery active, and ensure voltage in the range of 3.8 volts.

Finally, if you don't mean to use a battery in the short term, be sure to remember that do not charge it fully before you keep it. This is to prevent the battery bulge in the process of preservation. The best maintaining method is storage. The voltage is monomer 3.8 volts
